Mr. Mueller was a skillful arranger, and his most well-known arrangement is a hauntingly beautiful version of The Star Spangled Banner. He originally wrote it for full orchestra in 1969 and then revised it for chamber orchestra in 2001. Virginia Allen also adapted a version for brass ensemble in 2020.
